Necessary basic food

(cereals, legumes and seeds).

Our birds are herbivores. Cereals, legumes and seeds form the basic diet. They need them to get and to maintain a magnificent condition. Pigeons can survive without this basic diet but they will never survive in excellent condition. What are the characteristics of their needed food?

  1. Cereals (wheat, barley, corn, oats, rice, buckwheat, etc) have a high carbohydrate and low fat and protein substances.
  2. Pulses (pigeon beans, peas, vetches, 'peanuts' etc) are rich in protein substances but contain less carbohydrate and low fat.
  3. Seeds (hemp, turnip, rape, sunflower seeds, etc) are extremely rich in fat but contain less protein and carbohydrates.

Natural offers the pigeon breeder plenty of mixtures. So there is something for everyone. For fancy pigeon breeders, Natural has three special feeds created. These mixtures exist of undoubted quality. They all 3 have in common that only consist small grains, legumes and seeds. There are eaten like candy by the pigeons.
